In the heartof theAventino area
The apartments are located in the Aventino area, one of the most elegant areas of the city and built on one of the seven hills on which Rome was founded.
You can also get to the Circus Maximus, the Imperial Fora, the Colosseum, the Mouth of Truth, the Temple of Vesta and the Tiber Island on foot. The Ostiense and Testaccio areas are also very close, where you will find the Cestia Pyramid, the Non-Catholic Cemetery and examples of industrial archaeology like the Centrale Montemartini, a former power station, the Gazometro gas holder and the Testaccio Abattoir. A visit at the Testaccio Market, famous for good quality street food, is recommended.
The beautiful sights in the area include the monumental complex of the Basilica of Santa Sabina, the Basilica of Sant'Alessio, the Church of Santa Prisca, the municipal rose garden and the Giardino degli Aranci orange garden, where you can enjoy a splendid view of the city.
While walking around the neighbourhood, don't forget to "take a peek" through the keyhole at Villa del Priorato di Malta, from which you will see a picturesque and majestic view of the Dome of Saint Peter's Basilica.
Guests at the First Class Apartments can easily get to all the beautiful locations in Rome thanks to the Piramide station on line B of the Metro underground railway, buses, trams - the one going to Trastevere is 30 metres away - and the Ostiense railway station.
